Furousui water and its well can be found in Kashii-gu shrine,
built in 724 A.D. now certified as an important cultural property.
Legend says that when an ancient warrior Takenouch-no-Sukune
served imperial members he used this water for making meals.
So attached to the water, Sukune himself drank it daily, said
to have extended his life for more than 300 years.
Every day the door to the well is opened by a Shinto priest
for visitors and closed at 3 p.m. People wishing long lives
and local residents continuously visit the well site.
